How to book

To book /inquire about a wedding date please use the contact form. All forms will be responded to via email.

Services are booked on a first come, first reserve basis. In order to reserve your date, I require a signed contract and a retainer fee payment (50% of the Full Agreement Amount). Once both the signed agreement and retainer fee are received, your date will be reserved. The retainer fee is non-refundable.

How far in advance should I book?

The recommended booking timeframe is 8-10 months prior to your wedding, but 11-18 months in advance is now becoming the norm. Last minute planner? Don't worry! It's never too late, If I have the availability and means to provide services for your wedding date I will!

Payment

At the time of signing the contract, a 50% retainer will be paid to JM Artistry the Salon. The remaining balance will be due one business day before the wedding. Cash / Check / Credit Card is accepted (3% transaction fee **) Gratuity is not included but highly appreciated!

What if my bridal party is paying for their services?

Don’t worry! This is typical, however I only collect one full payment from the Bride only. The total agreed upon in the contract is to be paid by the bride only 24 hours before their wedding.

What if someone no longer wants their hair/makeup done?

The bride is responsible for all services agreed upon in the contract. If someone decides they no longer wants to get their hair/makeup done the bride is still liable for payment.

This is why I stress the importance of a headcount prior to signing the contract. A headcount allows for JM Artistry the Salon and her team to properly prepare for the services agreed upon. If you want to add an additional guest, please let me know. This would require extra time, and if time allows we can do it.

Why should I hire a professional makeup artist?

Your wedding makeup is not something you want to skip out on, trust me! When photographed hiring a professional ensures quality makeup to make you look fabulous and guaranteed to last all day and night! The pictures are memories you will hold on to forever, not to mention getting your makeup done is a luxury experience and on your wedding day you should be able to kick your feet up, sip on your mimosa and relax knowing you will look BEAUTIFUL!

No, however doing so does ensure that your get the date and time that you need, however you can always book online at a later time.

How often do I need to come in?

To ensure optimal results maintenance appointments are recommended. Although everyone’s needs are different, the typical maintenance schedule is :

Toner Refresh: 6-8 weeks

Balayage/ Highlight touch up: 10-12 weeks.

If you don’t like to see roots at all, we recommend 6-8 weeks for just a root touch up.

All over color Root touch up: 6-8 weeks

Haircut: Routine trims every 12 weeks. It is highly recommended to trim ends with every lightening service.

Can I bring my laptop to work or food?

Absolutely! Appointments can be pretty lengthy and I want you to be as comfortable as you can! Food and drinks are totally fine, and if you need to work while getting your hair done I totally understand!

Is there anything I should know before coming in?

Yes, I ask that you avoid wearing your favorite clothes or anything with a hood. Because we are working with color and chemicals I don’t want to take any chances on ruining anything.

Keep in mind I do enjoy taking pictures of my work, so if you are comfortable with some after shots for my portfolio try and wear a neutral blank shirt.
